Elizabeth Perry, Business Development Account Manager

As Business Development Account Manager for RI Economic Development, Elizabeth reaches out to over 1,200 Rhode Island Small Businesses a year in which she helps guide such businesses with issues pertaining to start-up documentation, licensing, workforce development, marketing, public relations, and financing...just to name a few.

Elizabeth is highly active in the small business community attending many networking events and has assisted many businesses in starting and/or growing in the state by providing learning events and business consultations that are all free of charge. Elizabeth also helps create a community of small business owners on the ECC Facebook and Twitter pages where she keeps Rhode Islanders up-to-date with what is happening in the small business world.

Elizabeth understands the value of small business and the issues that come with it as she is a small business owner herself. Gracie's Gourmet Goodies is an all natural homemade dog treat business that she officially started in 2008, but has been baking all natural dog treats since 1999. Elizabeth also is the Director of her family's non-profit that raises money for Leukemia and Lymphoma and can relate to the process and issues Rhode Island Non-Profits face. Elizabeth has worked closely with Rhode Island small businesses for 5 years working at a Providence based law firm, where she became very familiar with the incorporation process and SBA loan programs.

Recently, Elizabeth was chosen as one of Providence Business News' Forty Under 40 recipients for 2010. To read the article, please click here. In January of 2010, Elizabeth was also named Providence Monthly's Ten More To Watch as part of their Ten People That Will Change Providence Issue and is also a member of the United Way's Young Leaders Circle that creates a positive impact in our community through education, volunteering, and philanthropy.

Elizabeth can be reached at eperry@riedc.com or 401.278.9154.
