An Interview with Pat Mastors
If you watch the local news in Southern New England, you may remember Pat Mastors' face. She has left her role as news reporter, and has launched a new company called Infection Defense, to make consumers aware of a growing health problem: hospital infection-caused deaths.
Pat lost her own father to an infection he got while undergoing surgery, and has since been on a mission to not only create awareness of this deadly problem, but also to put products and information in the hands of patients - before they have a hospital stay.
