Use Technology to Make Government More Accessible

Secretary of State Mollis will help welcome government IT professionals from around the world to Rhode Island for the 2009 Government Management Information Sciences Conference in Newport on Aug.23-27.
"I am committed to using technology to make government more open and accessible. IT plays a crucial role in delivering quality services to the public. The conference is a wonderful opportunity to pick up the very best ideas from all over the world," said Secretary Mollis, who will speak at the GMIS conference's opening reception.
The conference has something for everyone from IT directors to school administrators to public safety officials.
