Small Business Spotlight: Plan Bean Cafe

Always have a Plan B, just in case Plan A doesn't work out...hence the name, PLAN BEAN. Plan A for Gina Bartolumucci, owner of Plan Bean, was to be retired on a beach in Florida somewhere, but here she is, back in business.
With the assistance of the Providence Economic Development Partnership's (PEDP) Micro Lending Program and the recent assistance of the RIEDC technical assistance programs, Gina was able to get her business off the ground. Since the PEDP lending programs began accepting applications in September, six local businesses have received loans. One of the recipients was Gina Bartolumucci the owner/operator of Plan Bean, a coffee shop and deli located at 128 North Main Street. This new business will employ three people full time and another three or four people part time. When interviewed recently, Ms. Bartolumucci noted, "The Revolving Loan Fund is a great program, and especially needed to help small businesses in Providence during this very difficult lending market."
Plan Bean is a cafe with flair located on the East Side of Providence near all the colleges, court house and state house.
On street parking is available and they are open from 7am-5pm, Monday - Friday, and 10am-5pm Saturday & Sunday. Coffee, tea, pastries and deli sandwiches served daily from 11:30 - 3:00pm.
All that and FREE WIFI!
