Customer loyalty is even more important in a down economy than it is in a robust one. Yet a common mistake that businesses frequently make is paying more attention to acquiring new customers than to holding on to existing ones. When you consider that it costs at least five times as much money to acquire that new customer as it does to hold on to a current one, it is easy to see why you need some sort of loyalty marketing strategy.
