The Rhode Island Small Business Advocacy Council

The RI Small Business Advocacy Council was established to bring together leaders from the private and public sectors with the task of addressing the needs of small business owners in the state.

Functions and Roles

Legislation- the council has and will continue to inform its members on the status of legislative proposals that may impact the small business community.

Public Information and Education- the council seeks to promote the available services for small businesses throughout the state and works to assist the small business owner in accessing such services.

Minority Small Business Issues- the council has worked on bringing together minority respresentatives in the small business service sector and discuss the issues facing minority business owners and how the SBAC can be instumental in addressing the needs expressed.
